Inhumanity

Inhumanity

by Nancy Clarke

Not thinking before words leave lipsNot watching before missteps cause slipsUnmindful of ill words spokenHopeful hearts are torn and brokenDoesn’t matter what damages are causedSo foolish to believe all gains might as well be lostTrampling others feeling mighty and highLiving it up, spreading liesLaughing away, ignoring the criesNothing to lose, nothing to fear?Carefree as though the end isn’t near
