Inspiration: As a child, my mom happily supported my interest in whimsical, unusual, detailed illustrations and brought home the best library books. My young mind flourished with the fascinating graphics of M.C. Escher, the beautifully bizarre artwork from Mark Alan Stamaty in Yellow Yellow, and the life-changing images by Beverly Komoda in Jellybeans for Breakfast. In “Strange Journey,” I explored my earliest memories of inspiration and combined them with my quest for adventure to discover life's various treasures!
